Requirements
As a large 5 bedroom detached property with 4 adults of working age and 1 in further education, their water demand was great. There was a need to provide large quantities of hot running water in the most economically viable method.
Work undertaken
Four collectors were installed on the South West facing roof with a pitch of 35° supplied by gas boiler and electrical immersion the existing 36L hot water tank was replaced with a 250L tank. Coupled to this the 20 year old Ideal standard boiler was replaced with a Valliant Eco Tech Plus 630 boiler to work in conjunction with the solar thermal system in order to provide hot water all year round.
