In partnership with Archdiocese Of Liverpool and Ansell Lighting , Glyn Nuttall Ltd undertook works at various schools during the school holiday period, a scheme to greatly improve the Energy efficiency of the school. Doing so by replacement of the light fittings in classrooms, toilets and Nursery with L.E.D fittings of various sizes and light outputs, manufactured by Ansell Lighting who design the whole of the scheme.
To further reduce energy usage and cost, P.I.R sensors were installed as a method of controlling the lighting.
The benefit of L.E.D Lighting in a learning environment is that it enhances focus and concentration. It also reduces fatigue and eye strain, creating a pleasant ambiance.
The predicted energy saving is 76%. The scheme was further improved by the installation of emergency lighting, that was designed and installed to BS 5266.
